Wegmans To Donate Proceeds of Meals 2Go to Buffalo Business Blitz January 5 & 6

Buffalo, N.Y., January 4, 2021 – Wegmans is teaming up with Buffalo Bills all-pro cornerback Josh Norman on behalf of his organization, Starz 24 Foundation, to support the Buffalo Business Blitz. Small businesses have been hit hard by the pandemic, and many have had to make costly adjustments to operate safely and keep the doors open. The Buffalo Business Blitz and the City of Buffalo are helping these businesses through grant support.

“The people and small businesses that make up Buffalo are the heart and soul of this community,” said Josh Norman, “I thank Wegmans for understanding the important role that small business plays in the Queen City. I hope the Bills Mafia can step up and help raise money to support the Buffalo Business Blitz.”

Wegmans will donate 100% of the proceeds of all Meals 2GO orders placed on the Wegmans Meals 2Go app in Erie and Niagara counties on January 5^th and 6^th. The donations will help provide grants to local restaurants, food vendors, and other small businesses. The City of Buffalo is spearheading the initiative.

The Buffalo Business Blitz is a natural initiative to come out of my administration, in partnership with Starz24, because of our deep understanding of the needs of, and connection to, small business owners,” said Buffalo Mayor Byron Brown, “I applaud Josh Norman, everyone who donated to this effort, and Wegmans for stepping up and prioritizing our beloved small businesses that set us apart from any other city.”
