Get Ready for School with a Quick and Nutritious Breakfast
Hectic mornings can make eating a nutritious breakfast seem near impossible, but Wegmans Nutritionist Kirby Branciforte says it doesn’t have to be that way. Kirby shares two quick tips that will ensure you and your family start the day off on the right foot:
1. Include 3 food groups
Start with fruit, then add two additional food groups, whether it’s whole grains, protein or dairy.
2. Stock for success
Keep your pantry stocked with breakfast essentials like fresh and frozen fruit; whole grain bread, granola, and cereal; yogurt; and a variety of nut butters.
