Brain Health

Your immune system relies on whole-body health to work effectively, and brain health is an important part of this.

Two factors important for brain health are taming inflammation and supporting the brain’s structure and function. Luckily, both things can be accomplished through brain healthy foods, such as:

  • Fruits and veggies, such as leafy greens and berries, contain antioxidant plant compounds that help protect brain cells from damage
  • Omega-3s, such as those found in salmon, support the structure of brain cells
  • Having a healthy gut helps to tame inflammation, which helps to prevent damage and stress to the brain
  • Whole grains provide B vitamins and iron, which are essential for cognitive function
  • Supplements can help fill the gap when nutrient needs are not met with food
