An approachable, expressive red made with estate-owned fruit.
This balanced wine from France’s famous Burgundy region leads with heady aromas of red berries, licorice, black cherry jam, and light spices that glide toward a long and elegant finish. It balances power and finesse like few other wines at a similar price.
Managing Director Pierre-Antoine Rovani (formerly of the Wine Advocate) and winemaker Claudie Jobard believe in a winemaking style that “lets the grapes speak” for themselves. For the Savigny, grapes were hand-selected from four separate premier cru parcels that were all raised biodynamically. The result is a wine of exceptional quality that drinks like wines twice its price.
