How to Stir-Fry

Stir frying is simple to learn and so fast, it keeps veggies crisp and puts dinner on the table in no time. Have fun mixing and matching your favorite sauces, proteins, and veggies to create a unique meal every time.

Follow Our Stir-Frying Technique

Step 1

Measure and prep all ingredients. Slice well-chilled protein into uniform pieces; coat with water and cornstarch for texture and flavor. Blanch veggies.

Step 2

Drizzle oil around sides of stir-fry pan; tilt pan to coat evenly. Heat on HIGH until oil faintly smokes.

Step 3

Add protein to stir-fry pan in small batches; don’t overcrowd pan or food will steam, not brown. Sear items until browned; remove from stir-fry pan.

Step 4

Add veggies to stir-fry pan; stir briefly to heat through (usually no more than 30 sec). Stir in protein and sauce; toss to coat.

Simple Sautéed Greens Recipe

Create a flavorful, plant-forward side using any Asian greens.

1 Tbsp Wegmans Pure Olive Oil
1 lb cooking greens, cut in 1-inch pieces
1 Tbsp Food You Feel Good About Soy Sauce

Heat oil in pan on MED HIGH. Add greens; cook, stirring, 2-3 min until it begins to wilt.

Add soy sauce; stir to coat. Serve.

Chef Tips:
For heartier greens, like kale, collard, and gai lan, shock and blanch the greens before sautéeing to maintain their color and to keep them from overcooking.

Soy sauce amount can be adjusted to taste.
