  • 1 sweet onion, peeled, cut into 4 thick slices

  • 1 1/2 Tbsp Wegmans Basting Oil, divided

  • 1 1/2 tsp Wegmans Tuscan Seasoning Shak'r, divided

  • 3 Wegmans Romaine Hearts, cut lengthwise

  • 1/2 cup "Roasted Tomato Aioli" (search related recipe)

  • 24 slices (about 1/3 lb) Italian Classics Sopressata Dolce Salami (Deli Dept)

  • 2 Tbsp Italian Classics Shredded Parmigiano Reggiano (Cheese Shop)

Directions

  • Step 1

    Preheat grill on MED-HIGH 10 min. Season both sides of onion with 1 tsp of Tuscan seasoning; brush with 1/2 Tbsp basting oil.
  • Step 2

    Grill onion, cover closed, about 5 min. Turn over; brush with 1/2 Tbsp basting oil. Grill 5-7 min until tender.
  • Step 3

    Drizzle romaine halves with remaining oil; season with remaining Tuscan seasoning.
  • Step 4

    Grill romaine about 30 sec each side, just long enough to slightly mark and warm through.
  • Step 5

    Transfer to serving plates. Top each romaine half with onions, 1 1/2 Tbsp of aioli, and 4 slices salami. Garnish with Parmigiano Reggiano.
