Wegmans to Host Virtual Hiring Event to Fill Several Hundred Entry-Level Management Roles Companywide

WHAT: Wegmans Food Markets is hosting a virtual hiring event to fill hundreds of hourly entry-level management positions to support future growth. In addition, the company is also recruiting for a variety of part- and full-time customer service roles.

WHEN: Wednesday, January 18, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

WHERE: Interested applicants should submit an online application in advance of the virtual hiring event at https://jobs.wegmans.com/companywide-hiring-event. “We’re proud to offer meaningful opportunities at Wegmans at a time when job seekers are looking for a great company to enjoy a long-term career where they can learn and grow,” said Kevin Stickles, Wegmans senior vice president of human resources. “We pride ourselves on providing a fun, family atmosphere and we’re seeking people with a passion for food and serving others. We plan to fill these positions immediately, and we will continue to host interviews as long as needed after the event.”

Store Operations
Wegmans operates 109 stores along the east coast, with two new locations opening in Reston, Virginia and Manhattan, New York this year. Wegmans stores are known for their incredible customer service and the company has a long-standing reputation as an exceptional employer. Immediately available entry-level management roles include shift leaders, supervisors, and managers in departments throughout the store from bakery, to grocery, to restaurant foods. Applicants that are not eligible for entry-level management positions may be considered for customer service roles, with the potential to grow their careers into leadership positions in the future.

Warehouse and Distribution Centers
Wegmans warehouses and distribution centers provide vital services to keep the stores running smoothly each day. Warehouse employees work hands-on, accepting deliveries from vendors and selecting products to prepare orders for store deliveries. The distribution team ensures orders are safely and efficiently delivered directly to the stores while operating top of the line equipment with the latest technologies and driver comforts. With several stores opening each year, the company is looking for team members to staff their new distribution center in Ashland, Virginia, opening in 2023.

“Wegmans is consistently ranked as one of the country’s best places to work and we attribute that to meeting the needs of our people through flexible scheduling, competitive pay and benefits, and a caring, friendly atmosphere,” said Stickles. “As our company continues to expand, we’re looking for talented people to fill positions at all locations, and we are committed to providing development tools and training to help our employees grow their career.”
