CHARLOTTE, NC - Wegmans Food Markets announced today it will celebrate the grand opening of its first store in Charlotte, North Carolina at 9 a.m. on Wednesday, October 14. The 110,000 square-foot supermarket is located in Ballantyne at 11550 North Community House Road.
“We’ve put a lot of care into hiring and training our new team, and we’re looking for more enthusiastic candidates to join us before opening day,” said Store Manager Patrick McGuinness. “Construction on the new store is well underway, and we’re thrilled to begin the countdown to October 14 when we will welcome the community through our doors.”
The new store will employ approximately 450 people in full- and part-time positions. Full-time roles are available throughout the store, including positions in sushi, pizza, restaurant foods, deli, cheese, seafood, and bakery. The team is also currently hiring part-time positions across the store, including part-time cashiers.
