As part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the communities we serve, Wegmans is recognizing several organizations that celebrate culture, service, and connection while making a meaningful difference for local families during Hispanic/Latinx Heritage Month.
In Rochester, New York, Wegmans has partnered with Rochester Hope at St. Michael’s Church to help provide food and essential services to neighbors in the 14605 and 14621 neighborhoods. The organization serves people from all backgrounds and has deep roots in Rochester’s Hispanic and Latino community. Each Saturday, Rochester Hope helps hundreds of community members access food and support in a welcoming, respectful environment.
Wegmans began supporting Rochester Hope in 2023 after the organization requested help with food donations for its growing outreach efforts. Since then, Wegmans employees have filled more than 100 volunteer shifts, helping prepare, organize, and distribute food to guests. Wegmans has also provided food donations and sponsorship support to further the organization’s mission.
Tyson’s Corner Wegmans in Virginia supports Just Neighbors, a nonprofit that provides immigration legal services to low-income immigrants, asylees, and refugees across Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia. Founded in 1996, Just Neighbors helps clients navigate legal challenges while promoting dignity, compassion, and community belonging. Today, the organization partners with nonprofits, volunteers, faith-based groups, and pro bono attorneys to provide legal assistance, education, and advocacy for immigrant communities. Wegmans has supported Just Neighbors’ Latin Festival and other community events.
The Northern Virginia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, a network of businesses, entrepreneurs, and professionals focused on strengthening commerce, creating opportunities, and supporting economic growth throughout Northern Virginia. Through networking, business development, advocacy, and technology-focused resources, the Chamber helps members increase visibility and build long-term success. Tyson’s Corner Wegmans supports the Chamber’s annual National Diversity Expo, which brings together businesses and community partners to celebrate diversity and opportunity.
