Opportunities to Learn and Grow  

We believe when we each improve, we all improve. We’re proud to invest more than $50 million each year in training and development to help our employees succeed. 

In 2024, a total of 1,340 employees participated in formal development programs to help advance their careers. We also continued the rollout of priority learning courses centered around our values, culture of belonging, leading the business, and incredible customer service. Annually, about 25% of employees receive new development opportunities, such as new roles, store transfers or promotions.  

With more than 3,500 employees under the age of 18, we focus on ensuring the success of young people. Across the company, we graduated 99% of our 2024 high school seniors (1,500 employees). That includes 150 employees who participated in our Work Scholarship and Work Mentorship programs, which provide meaningful employment and mentoring to students.

As a family company, we put our people first, live by our values, and take a long-range view of the business. We invest our company profits to help all 54,000 employees succeed. We reinvest profits in programs and benefits that make a difference for our people, including investments in pay and learning, time off for work-life balance, health and well-being, and financial wellness.
