Grilling Veggies
An easy method for grilling perfect veggies every time
- Wegmans Organic Basting Oil or Wegmans Pure Olive Oil
- Wegmans Vegetable Oil
- Veggies to be grilled
- Salt and pepper
- Metal grill brush
- Soft cloth or grill wipes
- Nonstick foil
- Tongs or slotted spatula
- Cutting board
- Knife
- Serving platters and/or storage containers
1. Mise en Place
- Preheat grill on HIGH 10 min.
- Coat cleaned grill grate lightly with vegetable oil.
- Cut veggies into roughly equal pieces.
- Drizzle with basting oil to lightly coat; season with salt and pepper.
- Adjust heat (MED or LOW is usually best).
2. Cook
- Sear veggies on all sides.
- Grill; turn (using tongs) every 1-2 min.
- Cook until knife tip pierces easily with no resistance.
3. Finish
- Transfer to serving platter.
