To help meet the growing demand for fresh produce that’s organic and sustainably grown, we operate our Organic Farm & Orchard to develop and share best practices with our regional partner-growers. We’re working to grow the best-tasting varieties and extend the northeastern growing seasons.

This co-op of farms has been with Wegmans since the 1950s. Their 5th and 6th generations of farmers are proudly providing us with fresh organic fruits and vegetables.
Apples from Wolcott, NY
The 5th and 6th generations of the Fowler family tend to their Wolcott, NY, heritage acres, first planted in 1858. Since 1983, they’ve supplied us with many delicious apple varieties, including an exclusive organic Honeycrisp.
Produce, Spencerport, NY
Jim Maier and his family are part of the 5th generation to work on their 600-acre farm along the Erie Canal in Spencerport, NY. The family has worked the land since 1892 and provided Wegmans with several varieties of hardy winter squash since the late 1960s.
Organic Tomatoes, East Thetford, VT
Long Wind Farm began in 1984 with Dave Chapman and a team of oxen. For three decades Dave, and family have provided New England with truly delicious, organic tomatoes. Grown in Vermont soil in glass greenhouses, their tomatoes are available year-round.
Organic Produce, Williamson, NY
Doug Mason’s farm has been in operation since 1811. Supplying organic sweet corn, squash, peppers, tomatoes, and eggplant for Wegmans since 2014. Doug’s son, Lewis, now grows on 300 acres at Mason South in Trenton, NC.

Scott Sechler, son Scott Jr., and daughter Margo are the latest generations of a family that’s been raising chicken since 1894. They supply us with organic chicken that has been vegetarian fed and raised without antibiotics.

Matt Slagle and Ed Primrose partner to run the Conquest Farm just outside of Cato, NY in Cayuga County—they grow the forage and nearly all the corn for their herd.

Brothers William and John Hazel rely on longtime manager Randy Bardell to run their 2nd-generation family farm. The 1950 farm is only 2 miles from Manassas, and all the corn, hay, and pasturage for the cattle is harvested from their own carefully conserved 5,000 acres.

Todd Beck, a 4th-generation cattleman, owns and operates Marble Valley Farms with his father H.R. and son Garrett. The early 1900s farm is nestled in the Allegheny Mountains along the Shenandoah Valley; the Beck family raises its own corn and hay as year round feed for their herd. “We get to work where we live and love what we do,” says Todd.

The McMillen family has been working their heritage cattle farm since 1785. This 8th-generation cattle ranch is nestled in the mountains of Pennsylvania’s Perry County. Clee and his daughter Chloe are the 7th and 8th generation to care for the land and the animals.

David Salem’s family has owned the Salem Cross Farm in West Brookfield, Massachusetts since the late 1930s. Dave and his 6 siblings stay busy on their family farm.

Fresh Catch Seafood is owned by husband-and-wife team Matt Huth and Micah Daniels. Their fishermen take short trips to ensure their shrimp and other seafood is in stores within 24 hours. We love partnering with them to bring you fresh, locally sourced seafood.

Ben Lloyd owns Standish Shore Oyster Farm with his wife and three children. Ben has been growing high quality oysters since 2001.

Family-owned and operated by the Larson and Puskas families, Viking Village in Barnegat Light, NJ, is just one of our trusted sustainability partners. They supply us with wild-caught swordfish, tuna, bluefish, monkfish, and scallops.

Founded by Kurt Beecher Dammeier in 2002, the company stays true to sourcing only local, premium milk. Beecher’s most notably partners with us on our Intense 26-Month Cheddar.
Brothers Mateo & Andy Kehler have a working dairy farm, on-site creamery and an underground aging facility to bring the best artisan cheeses to ripe perfection.

Since 1924, the Kreher family has built their reputation on quality, service, value, and caring for their flocks, customers, and community. They now have three family-operated farms in upstate New York which are Animal Welfare Certified and American Humane Certified.

On Raymond Hoover’s Certified Organic and American Humane Certified farm, the 20,000 pasture-raised hens have full access to 25 acres of pasture. Raymond and his wife, Rachel, have seven children who all help with the farm.
