Keep refrigerated at 38 degrees F (3 degrees C) or less. Use within four days of opening. Serving Suggestions: To maximize flavor, serve at room temperature. Smoked trout can be served as an hors d'oeuvre on toast or a cracker, plain or with lemon juice, mayonnaise or a combination of whipped cream and horseradish. Serve lightly sauteed with eggs for breakfast, or as a main course warmed in the oven and topped with Hollandaise sauce and chopped parsley. Storage: Ducktrap Smoked Trout has been carefully sealed in a vacuum package. Because we use no artificial preservatives, it must be kept refrigerated at 38 degrees F or less when not being served. It is best stored unopened until the use by date on package. Unopened, it can be frozen for up to 3 months. After opening, it should be kept well wrapped in the refrigerator and eaten within 4 days. Perishable: Keep refrigerated at 38 degrees F or below.
