Green Onions (Scallions)
Product Details

Fat free; saturated fat free; very low sodium; cholesterol free; low-calorie. The vegetable has a white base that has not fully developed into an onion bulb and green leaves that are long and straight. Both white and green parts are edible. Scallions have a milder flavor than most onions. Selection: Choose stalks with fresh, green tops and slightly white ends. Storage: Refrigerate, unwashed, in a plastic bag for up to 1 week. Uses & Preparation: Rinse and pat dry. Trim root ends. Strip off and discard wilted outer leaves.
