Directions

Feeding Directions: Weaning Puppies: Start puppies on Wegmans Nature Salmon & Pea Recipe Dog Food as soon as they begin to chew solid food, usually 3-4 weeks of age. Allow them to eat as much as they want until fully weaned (6 to 8 weeks of age). To feed moistened, mix 1/4 cup water to 2 cups of Wegmans Nature Salmon & Pea Recipe Dog Food. Growing Puppies: Puppies should be completely weaned by 6-8 weeks of age. After weaning, feed the recommended amount in three meals per day until 6 months of age, then twice daily until 12 months. If desired Wegmans Nature Salmon & Pea Recipe Dog Food may be served moistened. To feed moistened, mix 1/4 cup water to 2 cups of Wegmans Nature Salmon & Pea Recipe Dog Food. Adult Dogs: Adult dogs with normal activity may be fed the recommended amount in two meals daily. These are recommended feeding guidelines that should be adjusted as needed to obtain optimum weight. For pregnant females, feed 1-1/2 times, and for lactating females, feed three times the amount suggested for their non-pregnant weight. Feeding Tip: Changes in your pet's feeding habits should be made gradually. When changing over to Wegmans Nature Salmon & Pea Recipe Dog Food, first substitute small amounts of Wegmans Nature Salmon & Pea Recipe Dog food in place of your pet's current food. Then over the next week to 10 days, increase the amounts of Wegmans Nature Salmon & Pea Recipe Dog Food, while decreasing amounts of his other food, until your pet has 100% Wegmans Nature Salmon & Pea Recipe Dog Food. Remember to provide plenty of fresh water in a clean container at all times. Regular veterinarian visits are recommended to ensure your dog's good health. Close package tightly between feedings or store in an airtight container to keep product fresh. Use a standard 8 oz dry measuring cup for determining food amounts. Daily Feeding Guidelines (Cups/Day): Toy (3-12 lbs): Less Active Adults & Seniors: 1/4 to 3/4 cup; Active Adults: 1/2 to 1 cup; Puppies 2-6 Months of Age: 3/4 to 2 cups; Puppies 6-12 Months of Age: 1/2 to 1-1/2 cups. Small (13-25 lbs): Less Active Adults & Seniors: 3/4 to 1-1/2 cups; Active Adults: 1 to 2 cups; Puppies 2-6 Months of Age: 2 to 3-3/4 cups; Puppies 6-12 Months of Age: 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 cups. Medium (26-50 lbs): Less Active Adults & Seniors: 1-1/2 to 2-1/2 cups; Active Adults: 2 to 3-1/4 cups; Puppies 2-6 Months of Age: 3-3/4 to 6-1/2 cups; Puppies 6-12 Months of Age: 2-1/2 to 4-3/4 cups. Large (51-100 lbs): Less Active Adults & Seniors: 2-1/2 to 4 cups; Active Adults: 3-1/4 to 5-1/2 cups; Puppies 2-6 Months of Age: 6 to 10-1/4 cups; Puppies 6-12 Months of Age: 4 to 6-3/4 cups. Extra Large (Over 101 lbs): Less Active Adults & Seniors: 4+ cups; Active Adults: 5-1/2+ cups. Amounts are based on a standard 8 oz measuring cup.
