After the birth of our daughter Amy in 1987 we found there was little time to prepare the wholesome nutritious food we normally ate. Realizing there were others like ourselves, we set up Amy's Kitchen to produce delicious, nourishing frozen meals for health-conscious people too busy to cook. We use only the finest natural organic ingredients and prepare them with the same careful attention in our kitchen as you would in your own home. No meat, fish, shellfish, poultry, eggs or peanuts are ever used in Amy's products. Here is the Amy's Kitchen version of a pizza popular in Southern Italy, based on the pizzas our chef Fred's grandmother used to make. Instead of the usual pizza sauce, we layer diced organic tomatoes on the crust, then cover them with mozzarella, shredded parmesan, chevre and basil. The really special touch though, is the crust - light and tender with organic cornmeal added for extra texture and flavor. This is a truly unique pizza we're sure will please those of our customers looking for a total taste treat. Everyone in our family loves pizza: for diner, lunch, snacks, parties - even breakfast. And everyone has a favorite. Amy and her friends like their pizzas with just cheese & sauce, and so did her grandma Clarice. Her dad goes for a spinach topping. Her mom & grandma Nonny prefer cheeseless pizza with lots of veggies. So we decided to offer a variety of toppings. One thing everyone agreed on was that the crust has to be excellent. Not hard, soggy, or thin like cardboard. So we created a crust that is light, tender and tasty. The dough is made from organic wheat flour and organic cornmeal, then handstretched and baked. After that we carefully add the toppings in perfect proportion to the crust. 0 g trans fat. No added MSG. No preservatives. No GMOS - No bioengineered ingredients. All dairy ingredients are made with pasteurized, rBST hormone-free milk and do not contain animal enzymes or animal rennet. We like hearing from you. Keep frozen. Conventional Oven: Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Remove pizza from overwrap and place directly on the oven rack. Bake for 12-14 minutes. If a softer crust is desired, place pizza on a cookie sheet and bake for 13-15 minutes. Let stand 2 minutes before serving. These pizzas are pre-cooked. To prevent burning, check often after reaching the beginning of the recommended cooking range. Oven temperatures vary so please use these instructions as a guide to the best preparation for your oven.
