After the birth of our daughter Amy in 1987, we found there was little time to prepare the wholesome nutritious food we normally ate. Realizing there were others like ourselves, we set up Amy's Kitchen to prepare delicious meals for those who care about the food they eat but are often too busy to cook. We use only the finest ingredients and prepare them with the same careful attention in our kitchen as you would in your own home. No meat, fish, shellfish, poultry, eggs or peanuts are ever used in any Amy's products. When Amy's mother Rachel and her uncle Joel were children back in the early 60's, their parents took them to Italy. The first thing they wanted to eat when they got there was, of course, pizza - the kind of pizza they were used to. They went from restaurant to restaurant in city after city without any luck, Finally in Naples they found what they were looking for - not exactly like the ones back home, but delicious and recognizably pizza. Forty years later, when Amy's grandmother first tried Amy's Margherita Pizza, she loved it and said somehow this tastes familiar. Our cook explained that this was based on the original pizza Napoletana, and she laughed and said of course, that's it - this is like what we ate in Naples back then. And you'll find that Amy's Margherita Pizza is truly unique. The hand-stretched crust is thinner than our usual crust, the simple sauce is made from organic tomatoes, and best of all is the toppings, fresh mozzarella cheese sprinkled with parmesan and basil. They all combine to create a light, fresh-tasting pizza that will delight you. Everyone in our family loves pizza: for dinner, lunch, snacks, parties - even for breakfast. And everyone has a favorite. Amy and her friends like their pizzas with just cheese & sauce, and so did her grandma Clarice. Her dad goes for a spinach topping. Her mom & grandma Nonny prefer cheeseless pizza with lots of veggies. So we decided to offer a variety of toppings. One thing everyone agreed on was that the crust had to be excellent. Not hard, soggy, or thin like cardboard. So we created a crust that is light, tender and tasty. The dough is made from organic wheat flour then hand stretched and baked. After that we carefully add the toppings in perfect proportion to the crust. 0 g trans fat. No added MSG. No preservatives. No GMOs. No bioengineered ingredients. All dairy ingredients are made with pasteurized, rBST hormone-free milk and do not contain animal enzymes and animal rennet. We like hearing from you. Keep frozen. Conventional Oven: Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Remove pizza from overwrap and place directly on the oven rack. Bake for 9-10 minutes. If a soft crust is desired, place pizza on a cookie sheet and bake for 13-15 minutes. Let stand 2 minutes before serving. These pizzas are pre-cooked. To prevent burning, check often after reaching the beginning of the recommended cooking range. Ovens vary, so please use these instructions as a guide to the best preparation for your oven.
