At Simple Mills, we love almonds because of the nutritional punch they pack in our muffins. After being milled into a fine flour, we use California-grown almonds as the foundation for many of our products, as they are a good source of protein (to keep you full), magnesium (for bone health), and vitamin E(a powerful antioxidant). And did you know that almonds aren't actually nuts? Seriously. Technically speaking, the almond tree is a member of the same family as peaches, plums, cherries & nectarines. Who knew? Artisan Bread: Things You'll Need. Flatbread: 2 eggs, 2 tbsp olive oil, 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar. Makes two 7 inch Flatbreads. Dinner Rolls: 2 eggs, 1/2 cup water, 2 tbsp olive oil, 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar. Makes 12 dinner rolls. Sandwich Bread: 4 eggs, 1 tbsp, 1 tsp apple cider vinegar. Makes one 7.5 inch x 3.5 inch loaf. Flatbread: Heat over to 350 degrees F. Wisk eggs, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar in a large bowl. Add baking mix and combine well. Let dough sit for 4 minutes (mix will thicken). Pour dough onto a lightly greased cookie sheet. Moisten fingers with water and mold dough into desired shape. Bake for 20 minutes. Optional: For a brown top, broil for a few minutes, but watch closely! Mix It Up: Sprinkle flatbread with grated asiago cheese, fresh rosemary and sea salt. Dinner Rolls: Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Wisk eggs, water, olive oil, and apple cider vinegar, in a large bowl. Add baking mix and combine well. Pour dough into a greased muffin tin. Fill each well until half full. Bake for 25 minutes. Optional: For a brown top, broil for a few minutes, but watch closely! Mix It Up: Want to make garlic rolls? Include 1/4 tsp of garlic powder in the batter. Sandwich Bread: Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Wisk eggs, water, and apple cider vinegar in a large bowl. Add baking mix and combine well. Pour dough into a greased 7.5 inch x 3.5 inch loaf pan. Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes. Let cool, remove from pan and slice. Save for another day! Our mixes contain no preservatives. Store bread in the fridge or freezer for an easy grab & dine option.
