Sugar, Cake Meal (Ground Matzos Made from Passover Wheat Flour and Water), Vegetable Shortening (Partially Hydrogenated Cottonseed Oil with Mono and Diglycerides), Potato Starch, Cocoa, Modified Tapioca Starch, Salt, Sodium Bicarbonate, Carrageenan, Polysorbate 60 as an Emulsifier, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Tetrasodium Pyrophosphate, Monocalcium Phosphate, and Natural and Artificial Flavor.


Preparation Time: 10 minutes. Bake Time: 40-42 minutes. You Will Need: 1 large egg, 1/2 cup cold water, 2 tablespoons vegetable oil, 1 tablespoon boiling water, 1 tablespoon margarine or butter (if butter is used, this cake is not pareve). 1. Preparation: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease enclosed baking pan. 2. Mixing Batter: Empty large bag of mix into mixing bowl. Add 1/2 cup of cold water, egg and 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil. Beat on medium speed for 4 minutes. Spread batter evenly in greased pan. 3. Bake: Bake at 350 degrees F for 40-42 minutes or until center of cake bounces back when touched lightly. Let cool in pan on rack for 15 minutes. 4. Frost: Remove cake from pan and cool thoroughly on rack before frosting. Empty small bag of frosting mix into small bowl. Add 1 tablespoon margarine or butter and mix. Gradually add 1 tablespoon boiling water (until desired spreading consistency is reached). Stir until smooth and spread on completely cooled cake.
