Sugar, Potato Starch, Vegetable Shortening (Partially Hydrogenated Cottonseed Oil), Cocoa Powder, Glycerol Monooleate, Salt, Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Monocalcium Phosphate, Sorbitan Monostearate, Natural and Artificial Flavor.
Baking Instructions: For Cake: You Will Need: 2 eggs; 3 tablespoons vegetable oil. For Frosting: You Will Need: 1 tablespoon margarine or butter (if butter is used, this cake is not pareve), softened; 1 tablespoon boiling water; mixing bowl & mixer. Cake Prep: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease enclosed baking pan. Mix: Empty large pouch of mix into mixing bowl. Add eggs and oil. Beat on medium speed for 4 minutes or 600 strokes by hand. Spread batter evenly in the baking pan. Bake: Bake at 350 degrees F for 40 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Let cool in pan on rack for 15 minutes. Frosting Prep: Remove cake from pan and cool thoroughly on rack before frosting. Empty small bag of frosting mix into small bowl. Add 1 tablespoon margarine or butter and mix. Gradually add 1 tablespoon boiling water until desired spreading consistency is reached. Stir until smooth and spread on completely cooled cake. Makes: about 12 servings. Preparation Time: 10 minutes. Bake Time: about 40 minutes.
