Ingredients

Enriched Rice (Niacin, Iron (Ferric Orthophosphate), Thiamin Mononitrate, Folic Acid), Pinto Beans, Dehydrated Vegetables (Corn, Onion, Garlic, Bell Pepper, Tomato, Cilantro, Parsley), Salt. Contains 2% or Less of: Corn Meal, Hydrolyzed Corn Protein, Spice, Monosodium Glutamate, Sugar, Maltodextrin (from Corn), Dehydrated Chicken, Torula Yeast, Ground Chili, Turmeric, Disodium Inosinate, Disodium Guanylate, Sodium Aluminosilicate (Anti-Caking Agent), Celery Extract.

Directions

Stove Top: 1. In a large saucepan with tight fitting lid, bring 2 & 3/4 cups of water to a boil. 2. Add 2 tablespoons of butter or margarine (optional). Then 1 package Vigo Santa Fe Beans and Rice, stirring while boiling for 1 minute. 3. Cover saucepan tightly. Reduce heat to simmer, cook for 22-25 minutes. Fluff and serve. Use 3 cups water if a more moist product is desired. Microwave: Combine contents of this package, 3 cups hot tap water and 2 tablespoons butter or margarine (optional) in a 1 & 1/2 quart microwave casserole dish. Cover and microwave on high for 22 minutes (Cooking times may vary depending on power of microwave), Stir. Let stand, covered for 5 minutes. Serve. Serving Suggestions: Serving suggestions for a one-dish meal: Add 1/2 lb sliced smoked sausage or smoked ham at the same time rice is added.
