Ingredients

Enriched Rice (Niacin, Iron (Ferric Orthophosphate), Thiamin Mononitrate, Folic Acid), Dehydrated Black Beans, Dehydrated Vegetables (Onion, Green Bell Pepper, Tomato, Parsley), Salt. Contains 2% or Less of: Modified Corn Starch, Corn Meal, Garlic, Sugar, Maltodextrin (from Corn), Hydrolyzed Corn Protein, Spices, Monosodium Glutamate, Dehydrated Chicken, Sodium Aluminosilicate (Anti-Caking Agent), Celery Extract, Disodium Inosinate, Disodium Guanylate.

Directions

Stove Top Instructions: In a large saucepan with tight fitting lid, bring 3-1/4 cups (26 oz.) of water to a boil. Add 2 tbsp. of Vigo Olive Oil or margarine (optional), then one package of Vigo Black Beans & Rice, stirring while boiling for one minute. Cover saucepan tightly. Reduce heat to simmer, cook for 20-25 minutes. Fluff and serve. For a Latino Touch: Season Vigo Black Beans & Rice much like a salad. Top with Vigo Olive Oil, red wine vinegar and chopped onions. Microwave Directions: Combine contents of this package, 3 & 1/2 cups hot tap water and 2 tablespoons Vigo Olive Oil or margarine (optional) in a 1-1/2 quart microwave casserole dish. Cover and microwave on high for 22 minutes. Stir. Let stand, covered for 5 minutes. Serve.
