Maggi Style Pot Roast Seasoning Mix Ingredients: Wheat Flour, Sugar, Potato Starch, Iodized Salt, Natural and Artificial Flavors, Yeast Extract, Roasted Onion Powder, Spices, Tomato Powder, Acidulant (Citric Acid), Maltodextrin, Celery, Guar Gum, Sunflower Oil, Garlic Powder, Thyme.

German Style Pot Roast: You Will Need: 1 pound of meat (beef or venison), 2 tbsp vegetable oil, i.e. sunflower, 1-1/2 cups water. Heat vegetable oil in a pan. Brown meat on all sides and set aside. Add water to the meat juice and bring to a boil. Stir in pouch of Maggi Sauerbraten Seasoning Mix and bring back to a boil. Return the meat and cover pot, then roast at low temperature for 60-90 minutes (depending on meat cut or type). Stir the gravy occasionally and turn the meat only once. Tip: Can also be oven-roasted, covered, in an oven-proof roasting pan at 400 degrees F for 60-90 minutes (depending on size of roast). Remove lid about half way through cooking time.
