A sachet makes 3 portions. How to Make Delicious Bird's Custard: 1. Empty the sachet into a large measuring jug. 2. Pour on boiling water up 3/4 pint (425 ml) level. Water must be boiling hot for custard to thicken. 3. Whisk briskly (or stir well with a fork) until smooth and creamy ensuring all the powder at the bottom is mixed in. Handy Hints: If you prefer your custard a little thinner simply top up with boiling water. For best results leave to stand for 1 minute before serving. If the custard does not thicken, place in a saucepan and heat to boiling while stirring. Store in a cool, dry place. Once made up, store in a refrigerator and treat as fresh food.
