To maintain freshness, refrigerate or freeze. Easy Cooking (Yields approximately 2 servings): Hometown Authentic Brown Rice takes longer to cook because of the high fiber and oil content of the bran layer. Using a 1 quart saucepan which has the appropriate lid: 1. Bring 2-1/2 cups of water to a rolling boil. 2. While still boiling, add 1 cup of Hometown Authentic Brown Rice and continue to boil at slightly reduced heat for 10 minutes. (Do not cover.) 3. Reduce heat to simmer and allow mixture to cook for 20-25 minutes with cover on. (Don't stir contents or remove lid.) Prior to serving, stir lightly with a fork.
