Fajita Mix (Makes 8 fajitas): 1 pkg. La Preferida Fajita Seasoning Mix; 1 lb. round, sirloin, or flank steak or chicken, cut into strips; 2 tbsp. vegetable oil; 1/4 cup water; 1 medium onion, cut into thin strips; 1 green bell pepper, cut into thin strips; 1 small tomato, cut into wedges; 8 La Preferida Flour Tortillas; favorite La Preferida Salsa; additional toppings, if desired; sour cream, guacamole, or chopped cilantro. 1. In a large skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil; saute onion and green bell pepper strips, until tender. Remove from skillet and set aside. 2. In the same skillet, heat 1 tablespoon oil; sear 1 lb. round, sirloin, or flank steak or chicken. 3. Add Fajita Seasoning and 1/4 cup water into skillet with cooked meat, blend well. Bring to a boil and reduce heat to low. Let simmer uncovered 3-5 minutes, stirring occasionally. 4. Return sauteed vegetables to skillet to heat; add tomato wedges. 5. To assemble fajitas spoon 1/2 cup filling on each tortilla. Top with your favorite La Preferida salsa, sour cream, guacamole, or cilantro if desired.
