Product Details

5 stage filter removes 99.63% of all dissolved solids based on EPA certified lab tests. See back panel for details. 000 = FDA standard for TDS in purified water (000-010 equals the FDA standard for TDS in Purified bottled water, see side panel for filter longevity. The longevity of the filter may vary based on local water conditions). Measure and taste the difference! 000 = FDA standard for TDS in purified water. Tap: 210. Conventional Filtered: 115. Purified Bottled Water: 000. ZeroWater: 000. Actual readings from a total dissolved solids (TDS) digital TDS water meter. TDS levels in tap water vary. The laboratory grade digital TDS water meter (included with ZeroWater filter bottle and ZeroWater pitcher) is primarily used to indicate ZeroWater filter replacement at 006. It may also be used as a simple method to compare water quality by displaying the Total of the Dissolved Solids (TDS) in parts per million only. The meter does not specify what substances comprise the Total. The meter should not be used to assess the safety or purity of water, which should only be undertaken by a qualified laboratory. Digital TDS water not included. Component: NSF Independently Certified: This ZF-201 filter is tested and certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI Standard 42 for material requirements only. Replacement Element: NSF Independently Certified: Tested and certified by NSF International against NSF/ANSI Standards 42 and 53 in model ZP-001 for the reduction of hydrogen sulfide, chlorine taste and odor, lead, chromium, and mercury. Each filter is rated for 16 gallons. Recyclable filters. www.zerowater.com. Patented 5-Stage Ion Exchange Filter: Most conventional filters have 1 or 2 stages of filtration that only remove some of the dissolved solids in the water you drink. ZeroWater's patented Ion Exchange System, with five combined technologies, removed 99.63% of all dissolved solids based on EPA certified lab tests. Stage 1: Course filter to remove fine particles and sediment. Stage 2: Multi-layer system using activated carbon and oxidation reduction alloy. Stage 3: Distributor that maximizes contact time. Stage 4: Comprehensive ion exchange array. Stage 5: Non-woven membrane to remove ultra-fine particles. Designed in USA, assembled in Mexico from imported components.

Directions

Do not use with water that is microbiologically unsafe or of unknown quality without adequate disinfection before or after the system. The contaminants or other substances removed or reduced by this water treatment device are not necessarily in all users' water. Replace filters when meter reads 006. It is essential to change the filter with a reading of 006 on the digital TDS meter or when the filter change indicator illuminates in order for the product to continue to perform as represented. The longevity of the filter may vary based on local water conditions. Under laboratory protocols, a single filter was rated for 16 gallons in the certification process.
