1. Soak for 2 hours. 2. Place food on Soaked Plank. 3. Place on Preheated Grill. 4. Cook to desired doneness. 5. Spray water on flare ups. 3 easy steps: SOAK, SMOKE, SAVOR. Soak plank in water for 20 minutes or up to four hours. Place seasoned food on the plank then put onto a preheated gas or charcoal grill and close the lid. Have a spray water bottle handy to put out flare-ups. For a smokier flavor, preheat the soaked plank on the hot grill, cover and heat for 4-5 minutes or until the plank begins to smoke. Place food on plank and grill according to recipe. Carefully remove the hot plank from the grill. Place on a serving platter and present with pride! Variety is the spice of Life! Experiment: Soak the plank in a mixture of 50% water and 50% beer, wine or fruit juice. Try with fish, ribs, chicken, or beef. Double up - grill vegetables alongside your salmon or other entree.
