Directions

How To Cook: Cooking times may vary depending on your equipment. Stovetop: 1. Combine 1 cup rice and 1-3/4 cups water in a saucepan with cover. Add salt if desired. 2. Bring to a boil over high heat, uncovered. Stir. 3. Reduce heat to simmer (low). Cover and cook 12-15 minutes until tender. 4. Remove from heat and let stand about 4 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve. Microwave (1100 watts): 1. Combine 1 cup rice and 1-3/4 cups water in a microwave-safe 2-quart casserole with cover. Add salt if desired. 2. Cover and microwave on high power 4 minutes. 3. Reduce power to medium (50%) and cook 10-12 minutes. 4. Allow to stand about 4 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve.
