Directions

Cooking Jasmati Brown Rice: 1 cup uncooked rice, 2-1/4 cups water, 1/2 teaspoon salt (optional), 1 teaspoon butter (optional). 1. Combine all ingredients in a 3 qt saucepan. 2. Bring to a boil; stir one. 3. Cover with a tight fitting lid or foil; reduce heat and simmer for 45 minutes. 4. Remove from heat and let stand (covered) for 5 - 10 minutes longer. Yields approximately 3 cups of cooked rice.
