Cooking: Stovetop Method: Step 1. Combine rice, water and butter (optional) in a saucepan. Step 2. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat (medium, medium-low) and cover. Step 3. Simmer 20 minutes or until water is absorbed. Fluff with fork and serve. For Best Results: For firmer rice, use less water and reduce cooking time. For softer rice, use more water and increase cooking time. Measurements: 4 Servings (Cups of Cooked Rice): 1 rice (cups), 2 water (cups), 2 t butter (optional); 6 Servings (Cups of Cooked Rice): 1-1/2 rice (cups), 3 water (cups), 1 T butter (optional); 12 Servings (Cups of Cooked Rice): 3 rice (cups), 5 water (cups), 2 T butter (optional).
