Pasta Range Top: What You Need: 2 tablespoons margarine or butter; 1-3/4 cups water. 1. In medium saucepan, bring water and margarine or butter to a boil. Then slowly stir in pasta and special seasonings. Return to a boil. 2. Reduce heat to medium. Boil uncovered, 8-10 minutes or until pasta is just tender, stirring frequently. 3. Sauce will be thin. Let stand 3-5 minutes to thicken. About 2 cups prepared. Microwave: In 2-quart microwaveable bowl, combine 1-3/4 cups water, 2 tablespoons of margarine or butter and pasta. Microwave uncovered at high 4-5 minutes or until boiling. Stir in special seasonings. Microwave at high 7-8 minutes or until pasta is tender. Sauce will be thin. Let stand 3-5 minutes before serving. Microwave ovens vary; adjust times as needed. Less Fat: Follow range top or microwave directions, except substitute margarine with 1/2 tablespoon olive oil. Fat reduced to 6 g from 14 g per serving with saturated fat reduced to 1 g from 3 g and trans fat reduced to 0 g from 2 g per serving. 50 calories from fat per serving.
