He loved to hide it in the back of the fridge until Wednesday - when he would put it back on the stove top and add beans to create Pasta a Fagioli. I'm often asked what type of pasta I recommend for our sauce. Usually, my answer is generic - whatever happens to be your favorite. This time is different. This sauce is meant to be served over Ditalini pasta and I encourage you to be extremely generous with the amount of Parmigiano Reggiano you sprinkle on top. Everybody knew that Sundays meant sauce.
