Hot Air Poppers: Preheat popper for about 2 minutes, then add 1/2 cup popcorn. Never add oil, butter or salt to the popping chamber of an air popper. Season to taste. Pot, Pan or Skillet Method: Measure 1/4 cup cooking oil into pan. Add a single kernel of corn. Cover and heat at medium high setting. When kernel pops, add just enough corn to cover pan bottom, one kernel deep. Cover and shake gently. When popping slows, remove from heat. Season to taste. Electric Poppers: Measure 3 tbsp cooking oil into popper. Add a single kernel of corn. cover and heat. When kernel pops, add 1/2 cup of popcorn and cover. Unplug when popping slows. Season to taste. Storage: For maximum freshness, store unused portion in an airtight container and use within 1 year.
