Use large pot for ½ package or more. Cover; bring quickly to a boil. Stir gently; reduce heat and cook gently. Drain carefully. Season to taste. 1/8 package about 2 ¼ cups: ¼ cup water cooked for 4-5 min stirring one or two times. ¼ package about 5 cups: ½ cup water cooked for about 5 min stirring one or two times. ½ package about 10 cups: ½ cup water cooked for 6-7 min stirring often. full package: ½ cup water cooked for 8-9 min stirring often. Microwave (1100 watts)* Place desired amount of vegetables in microwave-safe container with 1/4 cup water; cover. Cook on HIGH according to microwave chart. Allow for standing time. Drain. Season to taste. 1/8 package about 2 ¼ cups: Cook 5-6 min stirring after 3 min and let stand for 3 min. 1/4 package about 5 cups: Cook 8-9 min stirring after 4 min and let stand 3 min. *Lower wattage microwave ovens may require more time.
