Heat and serve. Keep Frozen. HOW TO COOK: Cooking times may vary depending on your equipment. Cook thoroughly to 165°F. Keep frozen until ready to cook. Stovetop Steaming 1. Boil 1-inch water in steam pot. Place desired number of frozen wrapped Tamales in steamer basket in a single layer; cover. Reduce heat to maintain gentle boil with steam. 2. Steam 20-24 minutes or until thoroughly cooked. 3. Remove steamer from heat; uncover. Allow to rest 3-4 minutes before carefully removing. 4. Unwrap tamales before eating; discard wrapping. Microwave (1100 watts) 1. Place one wrapped Tamale on microwave-safe plate. 2. Cook on HIGH 1 minute and 20 seconds or until thoroughly cooked. 3. Rest 2-3 minutes before serving and unwrapping. Discard wrapping. Caution: Tamales are HOT. Chef Tip: Serve plain or with your favorite salsa or Chile sauce and teaspoonful of sour cream.
