Proper Handling: Adult supervision required. Do not allow wafers to come into contact with any water or moisture. Do not overheat. Keep wafers away from onions, smoke and other strong odors. Store in a cool, dry place (not refrigerator). Melting: Microwave: 1. Place candy wafers in microwave-safe bowl. 2. Microwave for 30 seconds at half power or on defrost setting. Stir. 3. Repeat until wafers are completely melted. Chocomaker Candy Melter: 1. Place up to 2 lbs of candy wafers into candy melter bowl. 2. Turn control dial to melt setting. Allow wafers to melt, approximately 16-18 minutes, stirring occasionally. 3. Once wafers are melted, turn control dial to warm setting. Candy wafers will remain melted up to 12 hours, stirring occasionally. Double Boiler: 1. Fill lower pan of double boiler half full with water and heat to simmer. 2. Once simmering, fit top pan of double boiler onto lower pan. Be sure pans fit tightly together. 3. Add wafers and stir continuously until melted. Continue to stir wafers occasionally to prevent burning. Uses: Molded Pieces: lollipops; minis; filled candies (cherry cordials, peanut butter cups); painted candy pieces. 1. Using melted wafers, follow molding instructions on the back of your favorite candy mold. Dipped Treats: fruit; pretzels, potato chips, popcorn; cookies; marshmallows. 1. Use a dipping fork to dip items into melted candy wafers. Allow excess wafers to drip off. 2. Place on waxed paper-lined cookie tray. Chill 10-15 minutes. Clusters: Make'n Mold stir-ins; nuts; raisins; crushed hard candy. 1. Add 1 cup of your favorite ingredient per pound of melted wafers. Stir. 2. Spoon mixture onto a waxed paper-lined cookie tray, or into Make'n Mold candy cups. 3. Chill 10-15 minutes.
