Melting Instructions: Microwave: This method is the easiest and most efficient way to melt candy wafers. 1. Place wafers in a Make n' Mold squeeze bottle , Make n' Mold microwaveable trays or microwave-safe bowl. 2. Microwave 30 seconds at half power. 3. Stir wafers or squeeze the squeeze bottle (wafers will not necessarily appear to be melted). 4. Continue heating and stirring at 30 seconds intervals until wafers are completely melted). ChocoMaker Candy Melted: This method works best for large amounts of one color of candy wafers, as the Candy Melted provides constant heat to keep wafers melted. 1. Fill melter bowl with 2 pounds of candy wafers. 2. Turn control dial on front of melter to Melt setting. 3. Allow candy wafers to melt, approximately 18 minutes, stirring occasionally. 4. Once wafers are completely melted, turn control dial to Warm setting. Candy wafers will remain melted up to 12 hours, stirring occasionally. Molding Instructions: 1. Fill mold cavities with melted Make n' Mold candy wafers. 2. For lollipops, insert a Make n' Mold lollipop stick into each stick channel in the mold, so that at least 1 inch of the end of the stick is in the melted wafers. Rotate the stick with your fingers so that the end that is in the melted wafers becomes completely covered with melted wafers. 3. Lightly tap mold onto flat surface to release air bubbles. 4. Chill approximately 10-15 minutes or until mold appears frosty and the candy pieces are firm. 5. Invert mold onto flat surface and tap gently to remove finished candy pieces. (If candy does not release easily from the mold, chill 2-3 additional minutes. Do not force candy out of mold.) How To Color Your Candy Pieces: Painting: 1. Melt desired colors of Make n' Mold candy wafers in Make n' Mold painter's palette. 2. Use brushes from the painter's palette to paint the details inside each mold cavity. 3. Chill 1-2 minutes between colors. 4. Fill mold cavities with a back color. 5. Chill 10-15 minutes. Marbleizing: 1. Melt 2 colors of Make n' Mold candy wafers separately, in Make n' Mold microwaveable trays. 2. Add a small amount of one color to the other. Use fork from Make n' Mold dipping tools to gently swirl colors together. 3. Spoon marbleized mixture into mood. Repeat steps 2-5 in molding instructions above. Important Tips About Candy Wafer and Mold Care: Make n' Mold Wafers: 1. Water and candy do not mix! Never bring candy wafers or finished pieces in contact with water, moisture or water-based products. 2. Store candy wafers and finished pieces in a cool, dry place. Never store in refrigerator or freezer. 3. Keep candy wafers and finished pieces away from strong odors (onions, smoke, etc.). Make n' Mold Candy Molds: 1. Be sure mold is clean and dry before use. (If necessary, use a mild, odorless dish soap, rinse and dry thoroughly.) 2. Do not place molds in dishwasher or microwave. Make n' Mold candy molds may be used with other melted craft mediums, if the required temperature is less than 110 degrees. A. Melt. B. Pour. C. Chill. It's that easy!
