Doctor On Demand is a convenient health care service offering secure HIPAA compliant video visits with Board-Certified physicians, psychologists and lactation consultants through the Doctor On Demand mobile app on smartphones and tablets, and on desktop computers.

How does it work?

Physicians can diagnose, treat, and when clinically appropriate prescribe medications for certain types of non-emergency, acute care conditions.

  • Download the Doctor On Demand mobile app from the App Store or Google Play, or visit any Wegmans Pharmacy to use our in-store tablet for a confidential video visit.
  • Complete a quick registration process, enter symptoms, and get quickly connected in a secure video visit with a board-certified physician in your state.
  • If a prescription is needed, it can be sent electronically to Wegmans Pharmacy to be filled right away.

A Doctor On Demand visit may be a good option for customers experiencing:

  • Lingering cough/sore throat
  • Cold/flu/sinus infection symptoms
  • Eye irritation/infection
  • UTI and Women’s health
  • Developing rash or skin irritation
  • Asthma/allergies
  • Sprain or strain
  • Nausea/vomiting/diarrhea
  • Any condition while pregnant/nursing

Can physicians prescribe medication?

 Yes, physicians are able to prescribe a wide range of medications, which can be useful for infections, allergies, skin conditions, and travel related needs. They do not prescribe narcotics or pain medications that have been designated as U.S. Controlled substances as a Schedule I, II, III or IV drug. Otherwise, many of the prescriptions available in an office setting or urgent care can be prescribed.

How do I see a physician?

Signing up is free – patients pay only when they need a Video Visit after the first free visit. The price of a video consultation with a Board-Certified physician is $40 for up to 15 minutes. A 24/7 Customer Support line is available at 1-800-997-6196 to help with emailing receipts for insurance and/or HSA/FSA purposes, technical support, or customer service concerns.
