Nutrition Workshops

Our workshops, conducted by a registered dietitian nutritionist, share important principles for getting and staying healthy. Choose any of our 30- or 60-minute classes* from our roster for a fun, interactive learning experience. Available topics include:

  • Healthy Eating Basics: Want to bring balance, variety and moderation to your way of eating? Sometimes the overload of information makes it hard to know where to start. Time to get back to basics! Join us to learn the role key nutrient categories play in maintaining health, identify the variety of foods that provide these nutrients, and learn simple tools & tips that can help you enjoy a healthier, better life through food.

  • Finding Whole Grains: Learn what makes a grain whole, about the benefits of whole grains, and how to identify them while we share simple tips for including more whole grains in your diet.

  • Awesome Omegas: Learn what omega-3s are and why they are necessary for good health while we highlight how to get more of these special fats in your diet.

  • Added Sugars: Get answers to your questions about added sugars: What is the sudden concern all about? What’s the difference between naturally occurring and added sugars? How can I identify added sugars on nutrition labels?

  • Eat Well, Live Well for Lower Blood Pressure: Explore how Wegmans four Eat Well, Live Well principles help lower blood pressure, and see how living the principles can have a greater impact than any medication.

  • Sodium Savvy: We’ll explain what sodium is and why it is a concern while you pick up tips on reading nutrition labels, comparing products, and reducing sodium without sacrificing flavor.

  • Living Gluten-Free:** Join us as we set the record straight on gluten, learn what gluten is and who needs to avoid it, and discover how Wegmans makes living gluten-free easy.
