There are already a lot of reasons to shop at Wegmans Food Markets, but here’s one more: Wegmans Shoppers Club digital coupons, which are now available for Richmond-area customers who are Shoppers Club members.
“Customers have asked us to offer digital coupons, so we worked hard to create a program that not only helps people save, but also gives them a better shopping experience,” said Jo Natale, vice president of media relations. “Many customers already visit wegmans.com or use the Wegmans App to get recipes, meal ideas, and build shopping lists. We wanted a digital coupon program that worked well with the meal-planning tools our customers already rely on.”
Wegmans designed the program so it’s easy to use, and shoppers won’t need a smart phone to take advantage of the coupons. “Customers can use either a desktop or laptop computer or a mobile device to ‘clip’ digital coupons directly to their Shoppers Club account,” said Natale, who also confirmed that digital coupons will not replace Shoppers Club discounts.
Initial welcome coupons offer $5.00 in savings on specific products offered in the produce, meat, and seafood departments. They can be redeemed at Wegmans in Midlothian beginning July 12, or at the Short Pump location after it opens on Sunday, Aug. 7. New digital coupons will be available periodically to complement recipes found in Wegmans Menu magazine.
There are four easy steps to savings:
1. Sign in to your Wegmans account online (wegmans.com or Wegmans App). If you don’t have an online account, register your Shoppers Club account and email at wegmans.com/register or on the Wegmans App.
2. Go to ‘My Coupons’ on wegmans.com or in the Wegmans app.
3. ‘Clip’ coupons to your Shoppers Club account.
4. Redeem at checkout with your Shoppers Club card, key tag, Wegmans App, or phone number.
“We hope the savings will also encourage customers to try a new product that’s featured in a recipe their families might like,” said Natale. “It’s one more way we can help customers save time and money to make great meals easy.”
Wegmans first piloted Shoppers Club digital coupons with employees in 2015 to ensure the program worked well before offering it to customers. The program recently expanded to customers in Rochester N.Y. and the Lehigh Valley of Pennsylvania. The Midlothian, and soon Short Pump, stores are the first in Virginia to roll out the program. Wegmans hopes to roll out Shoppers Club digital coupons to all stores later this year.
