Wegmans Culinary Teen Camps began in 2007. Teens attending the five-day camp learn everything from slicing and pan searing to food safety, menu planning, and meal presentation. They receive instruction from Wegmans Executive Chef Mark Makovec in Rochester and Wegmans Chef Bill Makofski in Buffalo. Each camp also offers daily guest instructors from areas like seafood and nutrition, and the week culminates in a graduation party with food prepared by the students.
