Katie Sullivan had a restaurant background but decided to change her career path 14 years ago because Wegmans better aligned with her values and allowed her to pursue her passion for great food and working for and with great people. Her Wegmans career began at the Lake Manassas, Virginia store as the chef case team leader when the store first opened. She worked her way through several departments as café manager, seafood manager, and front end manager before moving to Leesburg to become service area manager. Sullivan then spent six years at our Dulles store as the perishable manager. She was a store manager at Dulles for a short time and helped with preparing the Carlyle store for opening before becoming store manager at Reston.

Vinny Tacci

Executive Chef

Vinny Tacci began his career as a cook II at Wegmans’ Leesburg, Virginia store 13 years ago. He served as team leader, cook I, and sous chef in Leesburg, then in Woodmore, Maryland and Fairfax, Virginia. While in Fairfax, he became executive chef, a role he also held in Alexandria before joining the Reston leadership team. Tacci will lead a team of 94 culinary employees who make Wegmans’ restaurant foods, including store-made salads and sandwiches, soups, packaged meal options, pizza, sushi, and hot bars featuring Asian cuisine and wings.

Amber Speziale

Amber Speziale

Service Area Manager

Amber Speziale joined Wegmans in 2010 as a part-time employee in the Coffee Shop at the Irondequoit, New York store. She then cross-trained on the front end and at the service desk, was the cashier trainer, and became a part-time front end coordinator. She moved to Buffalo, New York, working at the Amherst Street store and then Sheridan Drive, where she eventually became service desk team leader. When the Pub opened at the Transit Road store, she was the Pub team leader and then the Pub restaurant manager for two years before relocating to Fredericksburg, Virginia as the café manager. She spent some time as an employee advocate at the Lake Manassas store before becoming the service area manager for the Reston Wegmans. At Reston, Speziale will lead the front end, customer service desk, maintenance team, helping hands (parking lot attendants), accounting office, and the e-commerce teams for cart-to-curb and Meals 2GO. She will ensure incredible customer service, a point of distinction at Wegmans, and will also supervise local community giving.

Sherry Deuyour

Merchandising Area Manager

Sherry Deuyour joined Wegmans 13 years ago as a cashier at Wegmans’ Ithaca, New York store. She spent time at the Pittsford store before heading to the Northborough, Massachusetts store where she began as a service team leader. While at Northborough, she also worked as cheese shop team leader, café management trainee, cheese shop management trainee, and then manager. Deuyour then transitioned to the Westwood, Massachusetts store as a merchandising area manager. She later moved to North Carolina to open our West Cary, Chapel Hill, and Wake Forest stores as service area and merchandising manager before moving to northern Virginia and joining the Reston team. Deuyour will oversee merchandising, sales, and employee development for the grocery, wine shop, dairy, frozen foods, natural wellness, home and entertaining, pricing, and receiving departments. She will also work collaboratively across the store to ensure that the thousands of products Wegmans offers are well displayed and well stocked.

Matt Collalto

Matt Collalto

Perishable Area Manager

Matt Collalto has been part of the Wegmans family for more than 21 years, beginning his career in the Rochester, New York area in customer service. He moved through the ranks at several Rochester-area stores working as a team leader, seafood manager, and front end manager before heading to Short Pump, Virginia to become a service manager. He worked at several Virginia stores as a service area manager, most recently in Alexandria, before becoming the perishable area manager for Reston. Collalto will oversee product quality, sales, and employee development for the produce, floral, bakery, seafood, meat, cheese, and deli departments in Reston. He will ensure that Wegmans’ high standards for the freshest ingredients are met and that employees are prepared to share in-depth food knowledge with customers.
