Cooked Artichokes



  1. Cut one inch off top of each artichoke; trim stem to create flat bottom. Cut 1/4-inch off end of trimmed stems; peel.
  2. Place artichokes and stems upside down in pan that holds them snugly. Add salt and 1 inch of water to pan. Squeeze juice from lemon over artichokes; add lemon to pan. Drizzle with olive oil. Bring to boil on HIGH.
  3. Cover and reduce heat to MED; simmer, about 30 min. Artichokes are done when sharp knife inserts into bottom of artichoke without resistance. Remove from pan immediately; cool 5-10 min.


Serve with warmed Wegmans Savory Finishing Sauce (Grocery Dept).
