Braised Fennel with Figs


You'll Need

Braising or roasting pan


Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

  1. Add fennel, figs, stock, butter, and cinnamon to roasting or braising pan; cover. 
  2. Place on center rack in oven. Braise 45 min, basting with pan juices every 15 min.
  3. Remove cover. Cook 45-50 min, basting every 15 min, until fennel is tender and juices are reduced.
Chef Tips
Add 1/2 vanilla bean, diced, before braising for extra fragrance and flavor.
