Grilled Brown Sugar Barbecue Chicken



  1. Mix BBQ seasoning, brown sugar, salt, and basting oil in large bowl. Add chicken, tossing to coat. Marinate, covered, 6-8 hours in refrigerator. 
  2. Preheat grill on HIGH 10 min. Coat cleaned grill grate lightly with vegetable oil.
  3. Sear chicken 2-3 min until color changes one-quarter of way up from bottom. Turn over; sear 2-3 min. Reduce heat to MED; close grill lid.
  4. Cook chicken 8-10 min, or until internal temp of chicken reaches 165 degrees (check by inserting thermometer halfway into thickest part of chicken). During last few minutes of cook time, baste chicken evenly with bbq sauce. Transfer chicken to serving platter.
