Braised Beef Pizzaiola with Red Sauce



  1. Season beef bundles (string on) with salt and pepper. Dust with pan-searing flour; pat off excess. Heat oil in pan on MED-HIGH until oil faintly smokes. Add beef; cook, turning to brown all sides, about 5 min. Remove from pan.
  2. Add garlic to pan; cook, stirring, 1 min. Add tomatoes and oregano; stir to combine. Return beef to pan; bring liquid to simmer. Lower heat to MED. Simmer, covered, 40 min, until beef is tender.
  3. Remove from pan; cut and discard strings. Serve with pan sauce; sprinkle with cheese.
