Winter Mimosa


You'll Need

Cocktail shaker, muddler


  1. Make clove simple syrup: Add water, sugar, and cloves to small saucepan on LOW. Cook, stirring, until sugar is dissolved. Chill and strain out cloves. Set aside 1 1/2 oz syrup; refrigerate remaining syrup.
  2. Pour 1 oz sparkling wine into each chilled champagne glass. 
  3. Muddle orange and syrup in cocktail shaker; fill with ice. Add vodka and orange juice; shake. Strain into glasses; garnish with berries.     
Chef Tips
  • This can also be made with champagne in place of sparkling wine.
  • Muddling is simply crushing together the ingredients to blend the flavors.
  • Remaining simple syrup will keep for several weeks in the fridge.
Non-alcoholic version: Sub 2 tsp vanilla extract for vodka and Frizzante for sparking wine.
