Next Door Fuji Apple Cocktail




  1. Make confiture: Add apples to large pot; add 2 cups apple cider. Stir in sugar and cinnamon stick. Bring to a boil on MED-HIGH, stir.  Reduce heat to MED-LOW, cook about 60 min, stirring often, until thickened and apples are broken down. Remove from heat; cool in ice bath. Remove cinnamon stick. Chill mixture overnight to thicken. (Makes enough for 28 drinks).
  2. For each drink: Slice 1/4 apple in 2 to 3 pieces; muddle in cocktail shaker. Add 3 Tbsp confiture, 1/4 cup apple cider, 1/2 Tbsp lemon juice, and 1/4 cup whiskey; add ice. Shake and strain into martini glass.
  3. Garnish with thin apple slice and ground cinnamon.
Chef Tips
Rub apple slices for garnish with lemon juice to prevent browning.
