Potato masher or mixer

Directions

  1. Add potatoes to stockpot; cover with cold water. Bring to boil on HIGH; reduce heat to MED. Simmer, 30-35 min, until tender; drain.
     
  2. Heat milk in saucepan on LOW; bring to simmer. Set aside; keep warm.
     
  3. Return potatoes to pot. Heat on LOW, about 3 min, to remove excess moisture; add butter. Gradually add milk while mashing with potato masher or mixer. Season with salt and white pepper.
Chef Tips
You may not need all the milk depending on consistency desired.
